Failed appointments and late cancellation policy,

At our practice, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. However, we kindly request that you provide us with at least 24 hours' notice if you are unable to attend your appointment. This allows us to allocate the time to another patient in need of care. The practice considers any appointment 'missed' if the patient fails to attend or fails to provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellation.
Failure to Attend/Late Arrival,
New patients who fail to attend their appointment will not be offered another appointment. If you arrive more than 5 minutes after your allocated time, it will be classified as a failure to attend. Please note that if you fail to attend two appointments in a row or two appointments within a year, we will no longer be able to offer you treatment or appointments. Additionally, if you fail to attend the practice for a check-up for two years or more, your place will be reallocated due to the high demand for NHS spaces. To retain your NHS place, we kindly ask that you attend regular examinations.
Hygienist Appointments
Payment for a hygienist appointment is required in full at the time of booking. A cancellation fee of £30 will be charged for appointments cancelled on the day, and a full payment of £60 will be charged for failure to attend.
If you wish to appeal a missed or cancelled appointment, please email the practice manager at:
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and genuine issues can arise. We apply common sense to all our policies but request your cooperation to ensure fairness to all patients. Any form of abuse towards other patients or staff members will not be tolerated.
